Watching:How I Met Your Mother. I don't know what to make of the new story lines, but I'm just glad it's back.
Reading:AP Lit Essays. I'm grading and grading and grading and grading.
Listening:Adele. She's brilliant.
Waiting:Prince Caspian. I have two words: Ben Barnes.
Obsessing:Life Application Study Bible: It's annotated and has everything from history, application, meaning etc. It's pretty sweet.
This past weekend at Calvary was Love Out LoudER. It was pretty amazing to see 1000 people sign up to do outreaches. I'm ashamed to say, but I haven't done many outreaches, but there was something about this one that really got me. I felt so convicted... that I'm such a selfish person and that I can't even devote one Saturday morning showing the love of Christ. We didn't even interact with many people at the Broward House, we just went in and painted the rooms, but it really was so fulfilling, knowing that what tiny act I did meant the world to someone else.
It's so exciting to see that Calvary is now moving more toward outreaches. It means more opportunities for us to get out there and show that Christians are much more. I remember growing up we never really did any outreaches at my Catholic high school, but I always wanted to. When I was in 8th grade, I specifically remember looking up the Big Sisters website and wanting to sign up. I don't remember why I didn't. Maybe because no one encouraged me or maybe I thought it was dumb. I don't know but I wish I did. Now as an adult, I guess I'm going to try and make up for lost time and really do as many outreaches as possible.

Mommy-O
Every year, Tampa holds the largest gathering of Filipino's in the South. It's a fun festival of gluttony, sweating and boredom. Just kidding. Well not really, but if I lived in Tampa I probably would go. Although, it's because of this festival I met Mark, so I shouldn't be so cynical. It's just one of those things where you go once, you don't really have to go again to experience it. We'll probably go again in a couple of years.
Anyway, my mommyo is HEAVILY involved in this festival and her entire first half of the year revolves around fundraisers and planning for this thing. So, she has mucho dedication. Apparently, this year on Sunday there was an epic bible-like deluge and I found this picture of my mother's pure inventive nature. She really is the smartest woman I know, and the most beautiful I must add. There is no way this woman looks 60!

Thanks Kit for the pic ;)

My life thus far.
I've been going to sleep really early for the past two weeks. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm waking up at 6:30 am everyday and I'm training to be a swim instructor after school. I think I have this really big problem with bogging myself down with too many things. My job situation is quite unpredictable at the current moment, so I'm trying my best to cover all my bases.
I know that the Lord will provide no matter what, but its also what can I do to further the process, to make things happen. I just want whatever I do to be pleasing to Him and maybe a little bit pleasing to me as well. :)
I love teaching. Plain and simple, I love it. I think I could do this for a while. I love my students. I have some intelligent and witty kids.
This Monday is Spring holiday, not sure what holiday that is. I didn't have holidays like that when I was in school, but I sure am thankful for it! I plan to spend the day in my pj's watching movies and writing. I wrote a little the other day and realized that I have a huge disconnection with my story. I haven't touched it since January. I think I'm lacking motivation, but more importantly inspiration. Blah, listen to me whine and complain, its not very becoming or nice to read. I wish I had a funny anecdote for you, but at the current moment I can't think of a thing. When I do, I'll make sure it's a good one :)

Hello friend, its been a while.
Its truly been such a long time.
Watching: The Doctor is back. Le sigh. I <3 the Doctor.
Reading: Picture of Dorian Gray. The most brilliant book ever, Oscar Wilde makes my heart smile.
Listening: Kate Nash. I love that when she sings her British accent comes through. It's pretty sweet.
Waiting: On the Lord.
Obsessing: British Literature. I've come to the conclusion that I am completely and utterly obsessed with all British Literature.
So, its been a while. Not much is really happening. I've kinda formed a new monotonous routine, but one that I actually enjoy. I really enjoy teaching. I'm thinking I really want to do this. I want to teach the books I love, the books that inspire me. I think that's when my real enthusiasm and love will shine through.
What's new with you?
